You may have developed new allergies to a certain type of sugar — and a creature called the lone star tick may be to blame.The potentially life-threatening allergic reaction is called alpha-gal syndrome, or AGS. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says AGS can be triggered by a bite from a lone star tick, which are present in most areas of the U.S., though are less common up north and out west. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - An argument led to a fatal shooting Saturday morning on one train around the Maplewood-Manchester MetroLink station.The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Investigators say one man died from his injuries in the shooting. A spokesperson from Bi-State Development says officers were on another area of the same train when the shooting occurred. Police arrested the suspect almost immediately as the train pulled into the station. The victim was quickly rushed to a hospital before he was pronounced deceased.
