By JILL COLVIN (Associated Press)Former President Donald Trump will return to CNN on Wednesday night, joining the network for a two-hour town hall event in early-voting New Hampshire a day after a civil jury found him liable for sexually assaulting a woman nearly three decades ago.The prime-time forum, which was publicly announced last week, was expected to be notable because it would be bringing together a network and a candidate who have long sparred with each other. But the stakes were raised considerably Tuesday after jurors in New York found Trump had sexually abused and defamed advice columnist E. Jean Carroll, though they rejected her claim that he raped her. The jury awarded her $5 million in damages. Trump said the ruling was “A DISGRACE” and he vowed to appeal. While the civil trial verdict carries no criminal penalties, it nonetheless revives attention on the myriad investigations facing Trump, who was indicted in New York in March for hush money payments made ...Rockies’ Antonio Senzatela injured, pulled from Pirates game in third inning

(KTXL) — California prisons will move to three days of in-person visits on the weekends starting later this summer, and approved visitors can access free bus transportation to and from prisons, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). The change is in line with the state Legislature's intent to expand in-person visits at correctional facilities, CDCR said in a news release. “The expansion of three in-person visiting days a week, while offering free transportation statewide, will allow us to meet demand at our busier institutions and provide more opportunities for people to see their loved ones — enhancing public safety by promoting successful community reintegration,” CDCR Secretary Jeff Macomber said. The change to three visitation days per week will start on July 7, and it comes as the state phases out video visitation, which was introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Schools and businesses were closing their doors and hospitals were filling with patients. President Donald Trump was looking for ways to curtail immigration — his signature political issue. The order authorized Customs and Border Protect...Latest news
